Margi McCall was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and has been driven by creativity throughout her 48 years. Art classes during and after school, plus in college, kept her passion ignited. She continued to take classes in her early married life, but after her first child was born, she took a hiatus from painting and focused on interior design. Through her design work, her need to express herself artistically was fulfilled, but her love of painting continued. At the age of 38, she began painting again. She continues to this day to create abstracts using acrylics as her medium of choice with a focus on color, form, texture and pattern. In the fall of 2017, Margi was diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent surgery and radiation. While recovering, painting was her therapy, and it continues to be to this day.
